This class is designed for experienced ballet students. In Pointe class, we learn to dance on the hard toe, boxed pointe shoes.  Pointe classes give dancers the opportunity to further explore the art of ballet, as well as develop their technique. 

Students are usually between the ages of 11 and 14 years old when they make the progresson to pointe shoes.

Depending on the commitment of the student to learn, and on the muscular development of the dancer's feet, Pointe class can be one of the most inspiring of all ballet disciplines.

Pointe classes at The Dance Center of Greenwich is by audition only. A professional fitting for all pointe shoes prior to the first class is required.
